Denmark Riots (?)
I don’t have clear details yet, but apparently riots similar to the ones in France have been going on in Denmark as well, having started at about the same time.
Update: One reader from Denmark has written in saying that nothing’s been going on that he’s aware of.
The Danish riots, ostensibly, are happening in Århus, in response to a political cartoon in the Jyllands Pos depicting Mohammed, but as more has shown up in Google News it’s become clear that there are no mentions in anything but fairly right-wing sources. Anyone on the ground in Århus able to confirm/deny?
Update: Okay, it seems the deal is that there are some problems with youth in Århus throwing stones and things right now, but although they are being played up by right-wing politicians in Denmark, it is apparently not like the outright rioting and burning like we are seeing in France.
