Bulletproof Monks
Via Eyeteeth: Buddhist monks in southern Thailand, suffering increasing violence at the hands of Muslim separatists, are resorting to wearing bulletproof vests and riding in special armored motorcycle sidecars (with a small port for collecting alms).
It makes me very sad that this has become necessary.
