Berkeley On Parallelism
Tim Bray summarizes the recent Berkeley survey of trends in parallel computing.
I suppose this is also an opportunity for a first assessment of my own prognostications. Sounds like some of my predictions about parallelism and the treatment of power consumption are looking pretty promsing, while other assumptions (that locks would continue to play a significant role behind the scenes) are probably pretty off-base.
