Chemical Weapons?

Oh for crying out loud miguel. White phosphorus bombs are incendiary - not chemical - weapons.

They’re nasty all right, but redefining the commonly accepted categories of weapons just so you can accuse the US of fielding chemical weapons is dishonest, full stop.

Rightly or wrongly, the use of white phosphorus bombs is not presently banned by any treaty, and they are classed as a conventional weapon both by standard usage and by international law.

Update: Conventional weapon it may be, but according to the CS monitor there is at least one treaty restricting its use which the US did not sign.
