Why Here?
I’m finding it much easier to write for this blog than any other in the past, and I’m wondering why that is. I’ve had online journals available to me at Advogato, Slashdot—even the dreaded LiveJournal * wrist to forehead in emulation of teen angst *.
But I’m finding it easy to update here pretty regularly. Why?
Two things, I think:
- Ease of posting. Hobix lets me post at any time from the commandline. Textile, not HTML. Instant gratification.
- Ownership. I have something invested in this blog that I didn’t anywhere else. That makes a real difference sometimes.
