Power Points Around The World

Neat. Conrad H. McGregor brings us a guide to worldwide electrical and power point standards. The same fellow also has articles up about other world standards, such as bar codes, international car codes, and more.

Incidentally, according to the car code article and Wikipedia, those trendy oval abbreviation stickers (“OBX”, etc) you see in the US originated as a parody of the international car code system. In other countries such stickers are are placed on the rear of a car to indicate its country of origin.

I’d always wondered about those. Now I know.
