Akira Kurosawa's Dreams

I watched Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams yesterday. Masterful film, and one of the most affecting I’ve seen in a long time. Watch it, and learn an awful lot about the artform. I think it’s going to have an influence on my sequential art as well.

Be forewarned: it’s definitely a picture for the film-as-art rather than the film-as-entertainment crowd, and it does have some flaws (e.g. the sound design leaves something to be desired, and IMO towards the end he starts wielding the Big Green Stick a bit too much).

I may write a review later; Dreams is one of those films that demands reflection. Good stuff.
