Auto Insurance, Yay

Finally make it back to the apartment after a rough day. Long day.

Left work at 9:30, only to have to go back in and wander from one end of the complex on account of discovering that I’d parked marginally illegally and had to get the ticket straightened out with the duty sergeant before I left. Finally actually left work at 10:00 or so.

Of course my car anxieties are fresh in my mind at this point. Due to my recent accident, I’ve been more than a little pensive about the potentially disasterous increase in my insurance premiums.

So, whatever. When I got back the apartment building, I realized that I hadn’t checked my mail since last week. I open the mailbox, and sure enough it’s stuffed full of junk.

Well, junk, and one large packet from my car insurance company.

I open it, and after four or five pages, sure enough, there’s a line item: premium increased by several hundred dollars amount on account of recent accident blah blah blah etc…

Crap.

Next line item: premium reduced by exact same amount due to longevity credit.
